Garlic lentil and tomato soup

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp finely chopped garlic

  • ½ cup masoor dal,washed and drained

  • ¾ cup chopped tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • ½ cup thinly sliced onion

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Preparation

  • In a pressure cooker add oil ,garlic ,onion for 1-2 min then add tomatoes and masoor dal,salt and chilli powder and 2 cups of water .

  • Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Once cooled,blend in a mixer to puree, Pour the puree in pan add 2 cups of water ,mix well and cook on medium flame for 2-3 min,add lemon and serve the soup hot
