RAW MANGO COCONUT CURRY

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped fresh unpeeled raw mango

  • ½ cup tender coconut flesh (malai)

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 pieces tamarind

  • 2-3 green chillies

  • Salt to taste

  • A pinch of turmeric powder


For tempering:

  • 1 tsp crushed mustard seeds

  • 2 tbsp curry leaves

  • 2 Kashmiri chillies

Preparation

  1. In a blender, take the tender coconut, water, tamarind, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder. Blend until smooth and transfer to a serving dish.

  2. Add the raw mango pieces into the gravy and temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves and Kashmiri chillies.

  3. Serve with hot rice / pulao - anything of your choice.
